Basic Nitrox
This course focuses on the practical information a diver needs to know to safely use oxygen enriched air. It reviews gases, explains the concept of partial pressure, and covers oxygen physiology, as well as oxygen limits and tolerance techniques. In addition, students will learn the steps of dive planning, determine how to select the right mix, practice using tables to manage no-decompression limits, and demonstrate how to obtain and analyze a tank of enriched air.
Nitrox certification is offered in a couple of ways:
The Nitrox Certification fee is $100.00. This includes lectures, book, and certification card. The student is issued the card after completion of two unsupervised Nitrox dives. Students may rent Nitrox tanks to complete the dives.
The Advanced Open Water and Nitrox Diver courses may be taken in conjunction with each other for $300.00. The fee includes both advanced and Nitrox lectures, 6 dives (including repetitive dives on Nitrox) and both certification cards.
Classes are sheduled on demand (with instructor schedule).
