This course is a continuing education course for certified divers. The importance of dive planning is stressed, as well as types of diving. There is an open discussion of advanced diving practices and procedures. Training dives will take place at Lake Isis and either Paradise Springs or Key Largo under the direct supervision of the dive instructor. These dives will concentrate on air consumption calculation, underwater navigation, buoyancy control, emergency procedures and self rescues. Students will perform an open water safety stop and simulate decompression. Other dives include a deep dive and a low light or night dive.

The cost of the Advanced Course is $225.00 and includes lectures, six dives, book, and certification card. The student is responsible for providing his/her own scuba equipment for the training dives.

Minimum age: 12 years.

The Advanced Open Water and Nitrox Diver courses may be taken in conjunction with each other for $325.00. The fee includes both advanced and Nitrox lectures, 6 dives (including repetitive dives on Nitrox), both certification cards, and both books. By taking the classes together, we will also provide the nitrox for the dives.
